This page is designed to help you know what to expect during your appointment and guide you through each step of the process. You’ll also find helpful tips on preparation and aftercare for every type of appointment. Following these guidelines ensures that your appointment runs smoothly and allows me to provide you with the best possible experience.

Before Your Appointment:

Clean hands and feet (no lotions, oils, or makeup).
Schedule 1–3 days before your event for best stain results.
Allow 5–10 minutes for setup.
Prepare a quiet, tidy space (table or floor).
Wear comfy clothes you don’t mind getting henna on.
Ideally, only 1–2 extra people present. More guests? Please book accordingly or send me a message for group bookings.
Optional: keep the area hair-free.

During Your Appointment:

Henna application → Dry → Lemon seal → Dry → Henna tape.
Henna tape keeps your design in place and prevents smudging.

Aftercare:

Leave mehndi for 6–8 hours, or overnight for a darker stain.
Keep the area warm (hair dryer, heater, fireplace).
Remove henna by peeling tape; use a card or oil for leftovers.
Apply oil/balm daily for 1–3 days to intensify the stain.

Avoid washing your hands or exfoliating the area.

Enjoy your design for up to 2 weeks!

Please provide 1 table and 2 chairs; I’ll bring all henna supplies and tools.
Make sure the area is tidy and comfortable for guests.
Allow 10-15 minutes for set up!
Note that the estimated hands per hour is based on one hand one side simple design. For guests it’ll be simple designs only to ensure everyone who wants henna is able to get it.

During Your Appointment:

Henna application is first-come, first-served —spots cannot be reserved.
Guests can choose from a book of simple designs or request a freestyle design (takes about 10 minutes per hand/one side).

Aftercare:

Leave henna on for at least 30–45 minutes or until fully dry.
Avoid washing, scrubbing, or exfoliating the area.
Enjoy your design for up to 1–2 weeks!

Optional Tips for Guests:

Avoid lotions or oils on hands before application.
Stay warm! Heat helps the stain develop and darken further.
Avoid washing/exfoliating hands this can make the stain fade quicker.
Please remove jewelry, keep the area free of distractions, and try not to touch the design during application or it can smudge.
